2.1.3. Place important suppliers visits so that the study will be held during peak production

2.2.1. Supplier Development Engineer should draft BTD supplier project charter
2.2.2. Supplier Development Engineer should explain and discuss charter with Supply Management Engineer and Manager
2.2.3. Supply Management personnel should send BTD supplier project charter to supplier for review
2.2.4. Supply Management personnel should discuss charter with supplier and achieve agreement by signing project charter

2.3.1. Horicon presentation can be found on O:/ drive
2.3.2. Prepare Seasonality in Graphical Form
2.3.3. Document Reason(s) for Study
2.3.4. Document Process
        · Tagging Sheet descriptions (Material and Machine Logs)
        · How tagging will determine response capacity
        · Confidentiality
        · Results presentation
2.3.5. Pre-visit contact
        · Direct contact should be made with the supplier (preferably a phone call) to explain the intent and expectations of the project.
            At this time, contact info of the individual(s) that will be conducting the study should be given to supplier.
            The initial visit date can be determined at this point.
2.3.6. Obtain Both Hard Copy and Electronic Copy of Supplier Presentation
2.3.7. Obtain necessary projection equipment
2.3.8. Obtain copies of both Machine Log and Part Tagging Sheet
2.3.9. Phone/E-mail supplier to ensure meeting time.
        · Ask supplier to have necessary personnel available
        · Ensure routings and forecast info will be available the day of the initial visit
        · Send Agenda….sample agenda can be found at O:/……….
2.3.10. At least 2 Deere personnel should attend the roll out (One of the Deere personnel should have been through at least 2 previous roll outs).
